Dalpat Sagar Lake is situated at Jagdalpur in Bastar district in Chhattisgarh. Dalpat Sagar has emerged as a famous tourist centre and receives loads of visitors all round the year.
Spread over 350 hectares, Dalpat Sagar Lake is the biggest artificial lake in the state. Initially the lake was used for rain water harvesting, but off late it has become famous for its fishes and tourism related activities. Tourists can go to the island on the lake and enjoy the pristine beauty of the natural surroundings. There is a temple, light tower and a musical fountain in the island. Group fishing by the locals is indeed a sight to see here in the morning. The view of sunset from here is quite mesmerising.
Tourists who come here can indulge in boating, fishing, bird watching and picnicking. Paddle and motor boats are also available here.
